Man (63) in court charged with sex crimes against 13-year-old girl

David Derek Hunter (63) is the latest person charged under the National Crime Agency’s Operation Stovewood, which is investigating historic child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

Hunter, of Woodcock Close, Kimberworth, is accused of two offences said to have taken place in 2003 and 2004.

He appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with indecent assault and engaging in sexual activity with a child and was bailed to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on October 18.
