Titans sweat over injury bug

TITANS will wait until finalising their team selection for tomorrow's massive home game against Bristol.

Coach Andre Bester will leave his selection until the last minute as he literally sweats over the fitness of several players struck down this week by the flub bug which has swept through the camp.

Five of his squad will go through incubation tank sessions, aimed at speeding up the healing process. It is an expensive process but Rotherham are determined to make as many players available for selection as possible.

Bester will have Sean Dougall, Sam Dickinson and Garry Law back with the biggest doubt being over powerhouse Semisi Taulava, who hasn’t trained all week because of illness. He did play in last week’s win at Moseley despite having the flu bug by has been pole-axed since.

Said Bester: “It has been a tough week with so many players having the bug.

“We have had to go down the incubation tank route, which exposes the players to 90 per cent oxygen levels, because we haven’t had a choice.

“But I think we are getting there and hopefully the team will look as near as possible to the one which won at Welsh.”

Kick off is 3pm.
