Titans snap up Tongan powerhouse

ANDRE Bester says that the departure of Juan Socino isn’t the end of the world for Rotherham Titans.

And he immediately responded by bringing in another South Seas islander,Tongan Talite Vaioleti, as work continues on developing next year’s squad.

Socino had been offered a new Clifton Lane contract but instead chose to take a sideways step to Nottingham, where he signed a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old had been one of this year’s bright lights and, even though Bester is disappointed that the Argentinean is leaving after just one season, he says the club will take the blow on the chin.

Vaioleti, a 6ft 4in, 18 stone wrecking ball lock, is currently at Wharfedale having previously skippered Jersey to promotion.

Titans face Doncaster today (3pm).
