'No rush' to find coach

ROTHERHAM Titans say they will name their new coach within the next month – with several names in the frame.

The club remains tight-lipped over the identites of their candidates, although they have been forced to realign their sights after top target Scott Barrow last week pulled out of contention for personal reasons.

Current coach Lee Blackett is helping find a newcomer, ahead of his switch to Wasps in the summer, where he will take over as backs coach.

Said Titans director Martin Jenkinson: “There’s no great rush to find a replacement for Lee. There’s nothing there out of step and we will find a new coach.

“We expect to be able to name someone by the beginning of July when preparations start for the new season.”
