Power cut affects more than 200 customers

A POWER cut is currently affecting over 200 homes and businesses in Rotherham.

The outage, in the town centre S60 postcode, began shortly before 1pm.

A Northern Powergrid spokesperson said that service should be restored by around 2pm.

They confirmed that 220 properties have been affected, adding that the firm was still investigating the cause of the problem.
