Floorboards catch fire in Broom house
HEAT from an open fire caused floorboards to smoulder at a house.
Fire officers were forced to lift floorboards to apply water in the incident on Monday at 9.20pm on Vernon Road in Broom.
A Fire Service spokesman said that a wooden joist beneath the fire had heated up.
