Fire crews battle deliberate Rotherham blazes
FIRE crews tackled four deliberate fires in 48 hours — plus one where the cause is not yet known.
Firefighters from Dearne station attended a hay bale fire at Kilnhurst Road, Rawmarsh on Saturday afternoon.

Hide AdArriving at around 2.50pm, they spent an hour putting out the blaze.
Rotherham station responded to a fire in a garage on Upper Wortley Road, Kimberworth, the same night.
They attended at around 10pm, coming away at around 11.30pm.
On Sunday, firefighters from Rotherham station tackled a blaze in a field on Rossiter Road, Greasbrough.

Hide AdThe team arrived at around 7.30pm and spend an hour putting out the fire.
At 8.30pm, another crew attended Rosehill Victoria Park, Rawmarsh, where a mattress was on fire.
They spent around 20 minutes putting out the blaze.
A crew from Rotherham station attended burning skip on Hooton Road, Kilnhurst at around 1am today.
They spent an hour putting out the fire with a hose reel.
Investigators do not yet know the cause of this fire.
