ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN AT TOWN CENTRE STORE

POLICE were called to a town centre discount store following reports of an attempted break-in.

Officers attended the B&M Bargains store on College Street at around 2.20pm on Tuesday and discovered evidence that a wall may have been damaged in an effort to enter an adjoining property.

Nothing was stolen in the daytime raid, however.

A police spokeswoman said: “It is believed that persons unknown entered the premises and have attempted to break through the wall into an adjoining business property.
