The female swan named Hilary, who was nesting five eggs, died from her injuries and the male was seriously injured.

All four ducks also died from their injuries and the unhatched cygnet eggs did not survive either.

The male swan, named Stocky, has been recuperating at Yorkshire Swan Rescue.
