Two further deaths and Covid patient numbers rise sharply again

THE number of inpatients in Rotherham Hospital who have tested positive for Covid-19 has jumped by more than half in a week.

The inpatient number for those with a positive test rose from 35 to 59 in a week, with one patient in critical care. 

There have been two further deaths of people testing positive for Covid at the hospital in the past week.

The total number of inpatients who have tested positive at the hospital since the start of the pandemic is now 5,591.
