Teenager admits Rotherham house burglaries

A TEENAGE burglar has admitted targeting four homes within a week, stealing jewellery, bank cards and electronics.

Callum Woodburn (18), of Elliott Court, Rotherham, admitted attempted burglary and three counts of burglary when he appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday (15).

Woodburn first struck on August 11 this year when he attempted to enter as a trespasser at Spinneyfield, Broom.

Four days later, he burgled homes on Bawtry Road, Wickersley, and St Mary’s Road, Rawmarsh, stealing a £500 iPhone, jewellery, bank cards and electronic items.

He then burgled a home on Clifton Lane, Clifton, on August 17, when he stole two mobile phones, watches and a bank card to the value unknown.

He was remanded in custody and will appear again for sentencing on October 13.
