Rotherham town centre roads closed amid concern for man at car park

ROADS were closed around Rotherham bus station as emergency services responded to concerns for a man in the multi-storey car park.

There was a large police presence, as well as two fire engines and an ambulance in the surrounding area.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 2.45pm today (Tuesday) to reports of concern for the safety of a man in a multi-storey car park in Frederick Street, Rotherham.

“Nearby roads were closed while police and emergency services attended and the man was brought to safety.”
