Rotherham town centre death 'not suspicious,' police confirm

THE death of a man in Rotherham town centre yesterday is not being treated as suspicious.

 

The man, who was in his 60s, collapsed in Frederick Street at about 9.30am after leaving the bus station.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson: “This incident is now being treated as unsuspicious, the man is believed to have died of natural causes. No third parties were found to be involved.”

The force thanked everyone who shared the initial appeal for information.
