Road in Wombwell closed for 12 hours after a shot was fired through a window

A Road was closed for 12 hours after a shot was fired through a window.

 

Police were called to a Blythe Street, in Wombwell, at around 1.20am on yesterday.

At this present time, no-one is believed to be injured.

The road was reopened at around 1.30pm.

Access to John Street and Bartholemew Street was also limited for large parts of the day, residents said.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Enquiries are continuing at this time. 

“Anyone with information which could assist with our enquiries is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 55 of May 19.
