Police officer injured in collision while responding to 999 call over earlier crash
A POLICE driver suffered minor injuries when his car was involved in a collision while on the way to another accident.
The marked police car was travelling on an emergency response, with lights and sirens activated, to the reported scene of a collision on Bawtry Road, Wickersley, at 3.52pm yesterday.
A spokesperson said: “At the junction of Bawtry Road and Flash Lane, the marked car was involved in a collision with a white Audi A1.
“The drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries.”
The first accident, which happened at the Mason’s Arms roundabout, involved one vehicle and no-one was injured, police said.
