Police investigate reports that teens threw stones at cars and made racist remarks

INVESTIGATIONS are underway into reports that a group of teenagers threw stones and hurled racist remarks at passing cars.

Police said that their officers were aware of reports of antisocial behaviour that happened on Sunday (July 4), in North Anston.

It was reported that a group of young people, aged in their teens, were seen throwing stones at passing cars and making racist remarks in Nursery Road between 6pm and 7pm, added a police spokesperson.

"An investigation into the incident is underway and officers would like to speak to anyone with CCTV cameras covering the Nursery Road Area," they said. 

"They would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage taken in the area around the time of the incident."
