Man arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink and drugs after Dinnington Cross crash
A man has been released on bail whilst the police deal with their enquiries
A MEDIEVAL cross was badly damaged after a man drove into it whilst reportedly being under the influence.
Dinnington Cross, a grade II-listed structure on Laughton Road, is thought to date from the 14th Century.

Hide AdBut the cross, surrounding fencing and seats were badly damaged when a Seat Leon crashed into it at 2.54pm on July 17.
The 27-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink and drugs driving without a licence and insurance.
Police said he had been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.
