Man accused of New Year's Day attempted murder pleads not guilty

A MAN accused of an attempted murder in Rotherham on New Year's Day has pleaded not guilty.

Jake Bartholemew-Mann (24), of Romney Close, Flanderwell, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today (Friday) and denied attempting to murder Neil Pearce in Rotherham on the evening of January 1.

He also pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of an offensive weapon in public.

Bartholemew-Mann was remanded into custody and a four-day trial is due to begin at Sheffield Crown Court on April 1.
