Man (46) arrested on suspicion of burgling theatre

POLICE arrested a man yesterday (Sunday) morning on suspicion of burgling Rotherham Civic Theatre.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary in progress at the theatre on Catherine Street at 8.20am, a police spokeswoman said.

Police had arrested a 46-year-old man who had attempted to flee on foot on suspicion of burglary, she said, adding that enquiries were ongoing.
