Jedrzejczak was racially abusive towards PCSO Ernest Mpundu, who was conducting routine patrols in Rotherham town centre on January 16. While in the Upper Millgate area, PCSO Mpundu noticed the defendant was drunk and behaving in an aggressive manner.

After he was arrested, Jedrzejczak was searched and found to be in possession of a white powder - amphetamine.

He was sentenced to an eight-week community order, given an electronic tag and a curfew, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Speaking after the hearing, PC Chris Nicholson said Jedrzejczak’s behaviour was "completely inappropriate" and he would not tolerate racial abuse being directed towards anyone in Rotherham.

“I hope the public are encouraged by the swift action taken to address this issue. People are encouraged to report hate crime by calling 101, 999 in an emergency, online, by calling Crimestoppers or via a third party reporting centre.”
