Discarded cig causes Dalton bathroom fire
A DISCARDED cigarette sparked a fire in a flat in Dalton.
Three fire crews were called to the premises on Doncaster Road at 7.15am on Saturday.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze in the flat above a shop.
The fire crews spent just over two hours at the scene.
A spokesman said: “There were no injuries.
“The fire started in the bathroom and caused significant damage to the bathroom.
“It is believed that someone dropped a cigarette in the bathroom.”
