Council leaders condemn day centre managers' "appalling" crimes

A COUNCIL leader condemned two bullying day centre managers who have been jailed for mistreating vulnerable, disabled people, saying he would have liked to see longer sentences.

Cllr Chris Read said it had been heart-breaking to hear how Rotherham Council staff had felt scared to report incidents involving Barbara Sykes (above) and Julie Paul-Slack, who were sentenced to six months and four months respectively last Friday.
