Boy (13) needs hospital treatment after Maltby "assault"

A 13-year-old boy needed hospital treatment after an attack in Maltby, police said.

The teenager is said to have been assaulted by an “unknown male” in the Yarwell Drive area at 9.50pm on Saturday evening.

A spokesperson said: “The boy suffered facial injuries that required hospital treatment.

“Officers are also investigating reports that a 15-year-old girl was assaulted by the same suspect in the same incident.

“She is believed to have suffered minor injuries.”

The spokesperson said an investigation was underway into the alleged assaults.
