Biker suffers serious injuries in Centenary Way crash

A MOTORBIKE rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries after hitting a lamp-post on Centenary Way.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 2pm yesterday (Tuesday) and the road was closed for about four hours.

The 26-year-old biker remained in hospital this morning, South Yorkshire Police said.

A spokesperson added: “Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident and police are appealing to anyone who may have dash-cam or may have seen the collision, or the motorbike prior to the collision, to get in touch.
