Bike rider sought after attempted bag snatch

The man tried to grab the bag from a 42-year-old woman as she walked along a footpath in Flanderwell.

The incident happened at about 2.15pm on Tuesday, May 2, when the woman was walking along a path leading to Constable Close. 

A man riding a dark coloured mountain bike is said to have approached her and tried to steal her handbag before leaving the area empty-handed. 

The woman was left with bruising to her arm. 

The man is described as white, in his mid-twenties, of medium build and about 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a grey deerstalker hat and dark coloured clothing.
