Appeal to reunite fancy pigeon with owner

No, it’s not a belated April Fool’s Day prank — Lesley Peplow has had a fancy pigeon on the roof of her Whiston bungalow for two days.

Lesley, of Moorhouse Lane, said she was desperate to reunite the “absolutely beautiful” bird with its owner.

She added: “They can be worth thousands of pounds and it’s somebody’s pride and joy.”

Lesley said the bird was white and brown and asked anyone who thinks it may be their bird to call her on 07908 792220.
