Adam Clapham murder: two more suspects in court over killing of Rotherham man

SEVEN people have now appeared in court in relation to the murder of Rotherham man Adam Clapham.

Muhammad Ashraf (18), of Fraser Road, Rotherham, and Arbab Yusuf (23), of Norwood Avenue, Romford, have each been charged with murder, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, false imprisonment and rape.

They were both charged last weekend over the death of 31-year-old Mr Clapham (pictured) who was found unresponsive by police in Spring Street, Rotherham, on the morning of September 19.

Five people had previously been charged in relation to Mr Clapham’s murder.

Robert Crookes (31), Lynette Myers (38), Kieron Millar (29), and a 16 year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have all earlier appeared in court over the death.

Ashraf and Yusuf both made their first crown court appearance yesterday.

Millar, Myers, Crookes and the youth are charged with murder, false imprisonment, grievous bodily harm and sexual offences.

Another man, 43-year-old Martin Shaw is accused of assisting an offender.

The trial is listed for next March at Sheffield Crown Court and could take up to six weeks.
