WOMEN’S INSTITUTE (EVENING GROUP): Women's Institute (evening group) - the March meeting was dedicated to craft with Win Holmes who had prepared cards on an Easter or birthday theme for members to make. Sheila Knagg gave a vote of thanks for Win's hard work.  At the business meeting members said they had enjoyed the meal at the Sitwell Golf Club.  A walk round Letwell followed b y lunch is to be held on April 25th - this being organised by the Firbeck cum Letwell WI whilst on the 21st the Mexborough WI are holding a race night at the Park View Social Club in Swinton.  In May the Chantry Group are organising an outing to Tissington Hall and Ashbourne (on the 11th) and names were collected from those interested in taking part. The competition a hand crafted item was won by Iris Marsden, 2nd Anthea Goodman, 3rd, Christine Pardy and Margaret Tupling won the raffle. The next meeting is on April 14th when the speaker will be Andy Foster who will tell members how to stay safe in their homes.
