ST HELEN’S CHURCH: Services are held on Sunday 3.30pm. These include All Age, Communion and family worship with Sunday school. For information or help about baptisms or weddings or to speak to a member of the clergy in confidence, visit Meeting Point at St Andrew’s Centre, Brinsworth, any Thursday 6.30-7.30pm or ring the Team Office 01709 361630.

 

TREETON BAPTIST CHURCH: Services are held at 10.45am on Sunday with Communion on the first Sunday of the month. The church also provides infant and child dedications, weddings and wedding vow renewals. Contact 0114 269 4000 or go to website Treeton Baptist Church.

TREETON LIBRARY: The library is held at Treeton Baptist Church and open every Tuesday 9.30am-12.30pm to exchange books and jigsaws. During school holidays, Bookworms activity classes are held for children. Last week the monthly friendship lunch with soup a roll and home-made puddings for £2 was held.

 

HOUSING SURGERY: Treeton residents are invited to attend a drop in session every Thursday 10.15-11.30am at Treeton Reading Rooms where they can discuss problems relating to housing, anti-social behaviour, crime and the environment. The police, RMBC, Streetpride and Cllr John Swift are usually at these sessions. If anyone has a matter to discuss in private, make this known on arrival.

 

TREETON LOCAL HISTORY GROUP: The group meets on the last Thursday of each month at Treeton Reading Rooms. There is a small charge for non-members. Last week’s speaker was to be Mike Spick, but he cancelled due to illness. Geoff Smales gave a talk about Rotherham Steel and World War One instead.

 

TREETON TRUDGERS: Janet and Marie led a group of 16 walkers on a five mile walk in the Rivelin Valley.

COUNCILLOR’S SURGERY: Cllr Darren Hughes of Rother Vale ward will hold a surgery every Friday 5-6pm at Treeton Community Centre, Pit Lane.
