RAWMARSH TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD: Members visited Penistone Theatre for an organ and brass band concert. The guild coffee morning in aid of the Northern General Hospital Helipad Appeal was well attended. Members meet on second Thursday in month at The High Street Centre 10am.

OPEN ACCCESS: A drop-in session where young people in Y9+ can take part in a range of activities. On Tuesday 6-9pm and running every Tuesday until September 29 at Rawmarsh Peoples’ Centre. Activities on offer include music, sports, cooking, crafts, games, consoles, pool tables and opportunities to go on trips and residentials. Youth workers provide support and advice. DETACHED YOUTH WORK: Detached youth workers will be out in the local neighbourhood once a week from today 6-9pm. The workers are usually dressed in red coats and are sometimes in a big blue bus. They meet young people at a selected location and specific time. They are available to approach and have a chat and discuss issues or concerns. This service is free and will run weekly until November 27.
