PATIO ACTION TEAM: The team is organising a big clean-up of the Swinton Fitzwilliam Estate on February 26 10am-12.30pm, focusing on clearing out the stream at the bottom of the estate. The team has received an environmental grant from RotherFed to enable the group to clean up the estate. It has also invited local councillors to help with the clean-up and is hoping to have volunteers from the estate and wider community involved as well.

HIGHFIELD COURT: A charity evening on January 27 was attended by more than 30 customers and raised £177.50 for Bluebell Wood Hospice.

MARGARET DUCKWORTH SINGERS: The annual Christmas Celebration charity concert organised by Margaret Duckworth was held in St Margaret’s Parish Church, Swinton, on December 10 and brought in £2,748 for Rotherham Hospice. The Margaret Duckworth Singers sang at the event and All Star Brass were guests. A cheque has been presented to the hospice.
