ST BEDE’S CHURCH: The next reader’s instruction session is on February 21 3.30pm in the parish rooms and the Liturgy Group will meet on February 23 7pm, also in the parish rooms. St Bernard’s School is looking to appoint a teacher of geography and one of maths, contact 01709 828183, closing date for applications February 18. On Facebook, St Bede’s Liturgy Group now has a prayer group started for the Year of Mercy, access is Evan Gelise.

ST PAUL’S CHURCH: Ash Wednesday Communion and Imposition of Ashes will be celebrated on February 10 7pm. Lent services – Stations of The Cross on February 12, 19, 26 and March 4, 11, 18 7pm; Maundy Thursday March 24 7pm; Good Friday March 25 7pm. The Rotherham Local History Society will meet at St Paul’s on February 20 10.30am when South Yorkshire Iron will be the topic of speaker Derek Bayliss £2.
