ST BEDE’S CHURCH: On November 14 Notre Dame High School is holding an open morning 10am-noon, contact 01142302536. The red mission boxes raised a total of £1,754.23. The parish liturgy group will meet on November 15 4.30pm in the parish rooms. On November 2, there will be a sung requiem evening mass 7.30pm to remember the faithful departed. Votive candles will be available to place on the graves of loved ones. The Christmas fayre will take place on November 22 11am-3pm in Forty Martyrs Hall, items for the fayre should be brought to church as soon as possible. The Rainbows bereavement group is in need of a part-time development worker, contact Amy Howard 01616242269 or [email protected]. The Catholic Medical Association is holding a talk on progress in adult stem cell research by Professor Sheila MacNeil of Sheffield University on November 3 6.30pm in the garden room at St William of York’s Church, Ecclesall Road, all enquiries to Dr Steve Brennan [email protected]. The next donation date for Shiloh/Hub will be November 8.

 

ST PAUL’S CHURCH: St Paul’s now has a website with details of services, events and other information. Access via A Church Near You and post code S61 1AH. There is a box in church for any donations of tinned food, biscuits, perfumes etc for The Shiloh Project for homeless people in Rotherham. St Paul’s Autumn Fair will be held on November 7 11am. The visit to Wentworth Woodhouse stately home is on November 17 12.45pm, cost £15, anyone interested should contact churchwardens. There will be a meeting of St Paul’s PCC on November 19 7pm in church. The Rotherham Local History Society will meet at St Paul’s on December 12 10.30am. Growing up in Rotherham in the 20th Century will be the topic. Cost £2.
