WHAT’S ON: Kimberworth Park

KIMBERWORTH PARK WALKING GROUP: On August 12, 32 members completed a four mile circular walk through ancient woodland, taking in Grange Park and the golf course before returning to St John’s Church.

BARKERS PARK BOWLING CLUB: On August 7 Maltby Community Bowlers were the visitors in the evening doubles league. Steve Bellamy and Alan Hadfield won their match. On August 10 Barkers Park bowlers were at home to Wickersley CI in a vets singles match. Dave Neale and Steve Bellamy won their games. On Monday evening the match was away against Aurora who took all the points. The vets doubles match was at home against Phoenix B on Wednesday afternoon. Pat Holroyd and Albert Thornton and John Wood and Steve Bellamy won their games. The Friday evening double match was away to Greasborough. Dave Neale and Tom Doncaster and Lesley Scrimshaw and Andy Swift won their games.
