PARISH COUNCIL: The latest meeting opened with the public discussion when an update on the removal of litter bins was requested. The clerk reported no response had been received but would follow it up. It was agreed that the parish council would look into replacing the bins should nothing be forthcoming from RMBC. This would depend on collections being carried out by RMBC. Some problems reported with one or two residents at Victoria Street despite recent improvements. The minutes were approved and in matters arising it was confirmed that the noticeboards had been ordered. The situation regarding travellers accessing land adjacent to New Brinsworth Road is under discussion with RMBC to find a more permanent solution. Bank Reconciliation, Budget Monitoring and Monthly Accounts were all approved. The Annual Audit Review was considered and approved. In Borough Councillors, it was noted that the owner of the land being used for dog kennelling had been served with a notice. The tenancy problem at the Crofts is now resolved due to the tenant terminating their tenancy. The noise pollution at Morrisons, created by the holding of car meets, will be monitored by police if sufficient complaints were received by residents. The provision of bollards at the Premier store is being followed up. The sale of land to auction at Highfield View was noted and the clerk to seek some clarification of the exact boundaries. It was noted that the seating at the Civic Theatre was up for sale due to the theatre’s renovation. The RMBC budget is under review. Details of the Gullivers Kingdom consultation were provided to members. In Recreation Grounds, the surrender of lease and new asset lease was approved dependant on no adverse prejudice arising from the sale of the land at Highfield View. The possibility of providing funding for a MUGA will be included in the chairman’s report in the forthcoming newsletter with sources researched thereafter. The recent problems experienced by the handyman were updated and is now settled. In Memorial Hall, it was noted that of those who had responded to the survey, the majority wished to retain the hall as well as the stage. The members are to meet prior to the next parish meeting to progress and consider necessary planning requirements and the results of this meeting would be placed on the agenda for the meeting that follows. In Parish Matters, damage to the bus stop at Brinsworth Road was noted and reported. The request for a nativity and possible concert at the kiln to be put on the agenda for the next meeting once clarification of details can be provided by the church. Flytipping at the rear of the church was noted with RMBC having agreed to clear the area with the area being secured in the future. A request to use the indoor bowls utlility at the hall was discussed and a trial period was agreed. Following the death of ex-councillor Mr Jolly, it was agreed to make a donation to Rotherham Hospice and include more details in the newsletter. In Meetings, the changes to the police services were reported. The SNT teams were now withdrawn and there would be the loss of PCSO officers.  With services now being based at Maltby, the new reactive model will rely on residents reporting incidents and are encouraged to use the 101 service. All planning applications received no adverse comment but RB2015/1192 is to be reviewed to clarify exact details.
