Students put spring into step of new lambs

STUDENTS have been springing into action to help out with lambing.

The Mining Meadows Farm based at Rotherham College's Rother Valley Campus in Dinnington has welcomed a host of new arrivals, with its ewes giving birth to a number of lambs.

The new lambs — numbering ten and counting — will be joining the Mining Meadows flock.

The college has recently been approved as an official member of the Hebridean Sheep Society.

Student Jamie Codrai (20), who is studying animal management, said: “It's a good time of year with the lambs being born.

“I really enjoy working with the animals here.

“I’m hoping to go and study zoology at Lincoln University.”.
