Santas in race for Rotherham Hospice cash

DASHING Santas are needed for a festive frolic around Clifton Park in aid of Rotherham Hospice.

The charity’s annual one-mile sponsored run sets off at the walled garden at noon on Sunday, December 13.

The Santa dash — now in its sixth year — has grown in popularity and last year featured more than 400 taking part and raising £8,500.

Hospice events fundraiser Claire White said: “The Santa Dash is great fun. You don’t even need to dash, many people will jog, walk or enjoy a gentle stroll through the park.

“It’s a fantastic spectacle to see all the Santas together.” Stalls and refreshments will be on offer.

Registration is £7.50 for adults, £5 for children and includes a free Santa suit to wear on the day and a medal at the finish line.
