Pupils at Dinnington learn the importance of kindness

RANDOM acts of kindness are very rare in today’s modern and hectic world.

But youngsters at Dinnington High School learned all about how important they are during a special week of activities.

Dana Abdulkarim, the school’s head of classroom practice and innovation, organised the Random Act of Kindness Week which was held from January 18 to 22.

Pupils at the school had to give their fellow students a random act of kindness each day.

Joe Morley, marketing and communications officer at the school, said: “During the week the school had such a positive and friendly atmosphere with plenty of smiles and lovely acts of kindness.

“The acts of kindness consisted of opening doors for others, smiling at every person you see, saying something positive and writing thank you notes. They were all small gestures but made a huge impact on the atmosphere in the school.”
