Plenty to do for Rotherham kids this half-term

ICE SKATING, archery and dodgeball are among the activities kids in Rotherham can look forward to during a busy half-term week.

There are plenty of sport sessions on offer under the Go For It! scheme.

Wath Central Primary School is hosting multisports days from 10 am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday, with handball, short tennis, volleyball, badminton, benchball and dodgeball for ages five to 11.

It costs £4 a day or £12 for four days.

Winter sports fans aged seven to 11 can enjoy inline skating at the Simply Skate

Arena in Rotherham from 10am to 1pm on Monday for £4 each.

Those taking part should remember to bring a spare pair of socks and a drink.

Children can get their skates on at West Melton Primary School on Wednesday, with four hour-long ice skating sessions between 10am and 3pm costing £1 an hour for kids aged between five and 11.

The same venue is also the base for archery sessions next Friday between 10am and 3pm.

Places cost £4 per child and it is open to anyone aged five to 11.

Those taking part should bring a packed lunch to enjoy in between learning the basics of archery and trying their luck in a competition.

All activities are part of the Go For It! Scheme and activity places are free to eligible children.
