Music and party time at Dearne leisure centre

DOZENS of acts will perform as part of a full day of entertainment at a family music festival this weekend.

Party on the Pit will take place at Dearne Valley Leisure Centre, on Saturday, August 13.

Tribute acts Kazabian and Fab4 will headline the outdoor main stage with Davey Wilson and Mathew Davenport on the acoustic stage.

There will also be an indoor dance arena and blue room set up.

Organiser Dawn Bulcroft, from Consibrough, said: We just want to get the whole community together and itll be nice to see everybody smiling.

My dad and grandad both worked down the pit as did a lot of people in our area and we want to have a little celebration of where we come from.

Gates will be open from 1pm until 11pm and tickets cost £12 for adults, £5 for youngsters aged six to 16.

Children aged five and under can enter free of charge.
