MP ‘made-up’ over new look post office

ROTHERHAM MP Sarah Champion opened a new look post office this week after it was given a modern makeover.

Ms Champion cut the ribbon at Brinsworth Post Office in Brinsworth Lane and said: “Everyone knows how important the post office network is in our local communities and I am delighted to have the opportunity to open the new-look Brinsworth Post Office.

“The modern premises and Saturday afternoon opening will be welcomed by customers and I wish the subpostmaster Parmjit Sall every success with the business.”

The new style post office has two screened positions and one open-plan counter.

Mr Sall said: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to modernise the post office and are very pleased to be re-launching it today for the community.

“It has been transformed and all the hard work has been worth it.

“Everyone likes the improvements and the fact we are open all day on Saturday is proving popular.

“I’d like to thank Sarah Champion MP for coming today, all those who helped with the refurbishment with the event and also my customers for their patience during the changes and their continued support.”
