Hospice on the hunt for Midnight Walk helpers

THE team behind some of Rotherham’s biggest fund-raising events is appealing for volunteers to help with its busy schedule.

The Rotherham Hospice fund-raising team is gearing up for the Midnight Walk on June 23 and is on the hunt for people who can donate their time and support.

Hospice fundraiser Anne Giblin explained: “We hold lots of events in the community throughout the year and we need volunteers to run stalls for us, selling hospice merchandise.

“This can be a great way to meet new people and make new friends while at the same time supporting a local charity.

“There are now more and more events popping up throughout the year and we simply don't have enough volunteers to cover them all.”

“We also need help with promotions and bucket collections as well as marshals to assist at events such as our popular Midnight Walk and Santa Dash.”
