Hospice collection at Bean Fest

BLUEBELL Wood has asked supporters to attend Bean Fest, which has raised more than £17,000 for the charity since it began.

The event takes place at Roundwood Farm in Rawmarsh from noon on Saturday with live music, fairground rides and stalls.

Bean Fest is organised in memory of Rob “Bean” Crook, who died in a car crash in 2010, aged 23.

Mum Dorothy says the annual event shares her son’s persona and helps to spread the joy he brought to so many lives.

Bluebell Wood fundraiser Anna Gott said: “Events such as this help us raise vital funds for our hospice and having such incredible support from community members is invaluable.

“We are really very grateful for the time and effort our supporters put into making such events happen.”

The event is free for under 18s and £3 for adults.
