Great line-up at Conisbrough Music Fest

MUSIC fans are promised “plenty of variety and great local bands” by the organisers of annual knees-up Conisbrough Music Fest.

There will be more than 30 acts across two live music stages and a DJ stage on the Welfare Field outside the Ivanhoe Centre and an acoustic stage in the Conisbrough Castle grounds.

This year’s event includes a dedicated kids’ zone with a fairground, bouncy castle, urban beach, Punch and Judy show, face painters, music and art workshops an ice cream van and children’s entertainers.

Bands playing the main stage — with music from noon to 10.30pm — include Fargo Railroad Co, We are Statues, The Homesteads, Saint Harlot and Murder at the Seaside.

The Imperial Stage will host the likes of The Inspectors, Niamh Wilkinson, Tom Jane, Jonestown, The Resistance and Handsome Dan and the Mavericks.

On the Conisbrough Castle bill between noon and 5pm are, among others, Brad Dear, Ruby Macintosh and The Silk Road, while the Subset Stage from noon until 10.30pm features a strong line-up including Ash Carr and Jack Beachill.
