Free park walk in Thurnscoe
A FREE guided walk is being held around Phoenix Park in Thurnscoe this weekend.
People taking part in the walk on at 10am on Sunday, 20 July at 10am will be able to hear how the landscape at the former Hickleton Colliery site has changed over the years.
The walk is part of a year-long programme of events taking place to mark the 30th anniversary of the Miners' Strike.
People wanting to join in the walk are asked to meet at Barrowfield Road car park (postcode S36 0BD).
