Dog rescue open day

Staff at Netherlands Dog Rescue Centre in Kilnhurst are out to set tongues and tails wagging by welcoming visitors next Sunday from 11am and 3pm.

The centre on Kilnhurst has about 45 dogs at one time and needs vital funds to keep going.

The open day will include a tombola, cake stall and raffle as well as offering visitors the chance to meet with the dogs and even take one for a walk.

Owner and manager Jeanette Hollywood will be around to answer questions.
