Children’s Christmas tree decorations to go on display

ALMOST 20 Christmas trees decorated by schoolchildren and community groups will be on display next week.

The Christmas Tree Festival and Victorian Christmas Market will be launched at Holy Trinity Church and its adjoining Trinity Community Centre at Thorpe Hesley.

It will be opened at 7pm next Thursday, December 1, by Trudi Toms, headteacher at Thorpe Hesley Primary School.

Refreshments will be available.

The Church will then be open daily from Friday, December 2, to Sunday, December 4 from 10am to 6pm.  

On the Saturday, the Victorian Christmas Market will be open from 4.30pm with entrance costing £1 and children going free.

There will be Christmas Ale and mulled wine, hot food, stalls, games and — weather permitting — a live outdoor nativity play at 5.30pm and 7pm.
