Bluebell Wood's spectacular tribute returns to Manvers Lake
The event sees environmentally-friendly rafts carry lanterns across the water with personal dedications to lost loved ones or celebrating someone special.
The children’s hospice is hoping this year’s Light Up The Lake, on September 17, will be bigger and better than last year’s inaugural spectacle.

“Not only will you have the chance to pay tribute to loved ones in a truly spectacular way, by making a dedication you’ll be helping us be a light in the darkness for local families going through the toughest times imaginable.”
Nuala Davenport took part last time with a dedication for courageous niece Imogen Sherrer (3), who visits Bluebell Wood for support with a life-shortening condition.
Nuala said: “It was so beautiful and emotional and really quite breathtaking as we sat on the bank as a family and watched the spectacle unfold.”
