The big final will take place at the Genting Club at St Paul’s Place, Sheffield, on July 15 and will include a three-course meal, live combo The G Men of Soul Band, entertainment and a prize draw.

A panel of judges will scrutinise the finalists and a prize – still to be confirmed – will be given out.

No experience is needed to enter the competition but people should be happy to perform in front of people to a live band.

Couples will be coached and given individual routines.

People can apply either by email to [email protected] or by text on 07710 472000 stating why they would like to take part in the experience.

Audience tickets will go on sale in February via eventbrite and details will be released on the Black Box facebook page and www.blackboxproductions.co.uk.

Tickets for the big event on July 15 is £24.95 and proceeds will go towards The Cathedral Archer Project Sheffield which helps homeless people and the Pending Coffee Project which is a non-profit making community initiative where people can purchase coffees or snacks for others.

Jennie Swift, creative director of Black Box Productions which is hosting the contest, said: “We will have a panel of judges and the winner will be decided by the audience and the judges on the night.

“It is £20 each to enter the competition and we will be choosing couples on their reasons for taking part which we have asked people to email before March 1.”
