Anyone for New Age Kurling?

GENTLE sports for the over-50s are being introduced to Rotherham in a bid to get older people more active.

They include New Age Kurling — similar to the ice-rink sport of curling, but adapted for any flat, smooth surface, and Boccia, which is similar to bowls but played over a smaller area.

Sessions will be taking place at Maltby Leisure Centre every Tuesday between 11am and noon at a cost of £2.85 per session and at Herringthorpe Stadium every Wednesday between 10am and 11am at a cost of £2.50.
